Dr. Potter’s career spans nearly every level of public education—Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Chief Business Official, Principal, and Teacher—giving her a comprehensive understanding of instructional, fiscal, and legislative systems. Her influence extends well beyond her district, shaping state and national education policy. She has served on the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) Advisory Council, the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Task Force, and as State Vice President for Legislative Action for ACSA. Her work has contributed to some of California’s most significant education reforms, ensuring equitable access to quality learning for all students.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Potter earned degrees from UC Berkeley, UCLA, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the joint program of UC San Diego, San Diego State University, and Cal State San Marcos. Guided by purpose, faith, and service, she continues to lead with integrity and hope—championing education as the most powerful tool for community transformation.
